Quotations (also called estimates or proforma invoices) let you send a price proposal to a customer before they confirm the order.
Creating a quotation
1
Go to Sales → Quotations → New Quotation.
2
Select the customer and add line items exactly as you would for an invoice.
3
Set an expiry date (e.g., valid for 30 days).
4
Add any terms and conditions or notes.
5
Click Save & Send to email the quotation to the customer.
Converting to invoice
1
When the customer accepts, open the quotation from Sales → Quotations.
2
Click Convert to Invoice. All line items, prices, and customer details copy over automatically.
3
Review the invoice, set the invoice date and due date, then Finalize & Send.
💡Tip: The original quotation is automatically marked as 'Converted' once you create the invoice. You can still view it for reference.
